Konecranes was selected to provide two new reach stackers for container handling up to 45 tons.

Konecranes is supplying its model 4543 TBX5 reach stacker, a second rail machine with Load Jack, which will be used for handling containers in first and second rails. The order for two new reach stackers comes after CSX Intermodal Terminals purchased an initial unit and found it to be extremely reliable and more productive than  other similar equipment.

The model 4543 TBX5 is part of the latest generation of Konecranes reach stackers, which builds on many years of development work and provides a fuel-efficient engine that delivers high torque even at low rpm. It can handle up to 75,000 pounds in the second rail, making it ideal for the requirements of CSX Intermodal Terminals.

The 4543 TBX5 reach stacker from Konecranes is equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic system with variable piston pumps, which has been designed to provide an optimum balance between engine power and hydraulic demand for any given lift. It has a wheelbase of 7500 mm.

In addition to fuel efficiency and an innovative hydraulic system, Konecranes’ new reach stackers’ visibility, ergonomic design and operator comfort is the best on the market. Designed so that the operator can easily reach all the controls and check all functions at a glance, the cabs allow operators to concentrate on goods handling and work more efficiently.
