Personal Sound Amplification Product with Linx DSP® provides 4 preset Environment Management™ filters that provide situational hearing solutions to enhance comprehension in difficult listening environments.

WHEAT RIDGE, CO (November 9, 2012) – Able Planet Incorporated, one of the top selling active noise cancellation companies in the world, announced today the nationwide launch of its award-winning Personal Sound™ Amplifier, PS2500AMP. Cited as “The most impressive new PSAP” by Melinda Beck of the Wall Street Journal, Personal Sound™ was released for a limited premarket sale on September 11, 2012 that sold out in less than 48 hours. Able Planet is launching its Personal Sound™, nationwide. Currently available at ableplanet.com, the product will roll out to leading eCommerce sites and US retailers over the next 60 days.

Personal Sound™ PS2500AMP is the first ever In-Ear Amplifier with Linx DSP®. It provides a natural sound by preserving the directivity of the ear and enhances hard to hear sounds with preset environmental filters. The small size is highly invisible and is held secure by a patent pending D-ring that is easy to position and ensures a comfortable fit for long wear. When the environment situation changes, simply 2TAP™ near the device to change your Personal Sound™.

Personal Sound™ Amplifier has 8 channels, 12 bands, active noise reduction, an adaptive feedback manager and 4 preset programs that alter the frequency response, amplification and noise reduction to accommodate for varying listening environments. 2TAP™, a patent-pending controller, continuously senses the pressure in the ear canal enabling you to switch among programs by lightly tapping on the ears. This "switch" changes the program and generates an indicator tone without requiring push-button activation. Wax guards prevent earwax from damaging the miniature speaker. The amplifier is powered by 1.35V battery (Type 10A).

“Hearing abilities are like fingerprints and everyone is unique,” said Able Planet CEO Kevin Semcken. “Struggling to hear in noisy places, like on an airplane, in a crowded restaurant, or at your local pub is common to people with all levels of hearing abilities. Even hearing the TV can sometimes be difficult. Just because you have difficulty hearing in certain situations does not mean you need to incur the expense of a hearing aid. When hearing others becomes a challenge, simply put in your Personal Sound™, and you’ll Hear the Difference®.”

Personal Sound™ has won several of the world’s most prestigious audio and technology awards, including a 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show Innovations and Design Award, as well as, Popular Science’s Product of the Future. Linx DSP is a Hear the Difference® technology that enhances sound quality and clarity for People with All Levels of Hearing™.
