AddLife acquires Ossano Scandinavia AB

Today, AddLife signed an agreement to acquire all shares in Ossano Scandinavia AB. Ossano Scandinavia is a niche company offering orthopaedic products. The acquisition complements AddLife’s existing product offering in the field of surgery. The company will be incorporated into the Medtech business area.

“This acquisition is an excellent complement to our existing product range in the field of surgery, giving us the opportunity to offer an even wider range of specialist products in interesting niche areas in our field. After the takeover, the business will be integrated in Mediplast AB. The broadened product portfolio, our expertise and improved logistics will provide good conditions for further developing the business,” says Lars-Erik Rydell, business area manager Medtech, AddLife.

Ossano Scandinavia AB is a niche supplier selling and marketing orthopaedic products. The company’s offering includes both instruments and disposables, mainly in the field of back and hip surgery, along with equipment and disposables for the operating theatre. AddLife currently has five employees and net sales of around SEK 22 million, mainly in the Swedish market.
The deal will close on 23 February 2018. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive effect on AddLife’s earnings per share during the current financial year.
