Standard & Poor’s initiates rating on Aktia Bank plc

 

Standard & Poor’s rating reflects Aktia’s strong capital and earnings, its moderate risk position, average funding and adequate liquidity. Standard & Poor’s regards Aktia Bank to have a moderate systemic importance in Finland.

Standard & Poor’s assigns the following ratings to Aktia Bank plc:
Long-term A- and short-term A2, both with a negative outlook.

The negative outlook reflects Standard & Poor’s view on growing economic risks in export oriented Finnish economy which could adversely affect the Finnish banking sector’s performance.
