Timo Ruotsalainen new Managing Director of Aktia Real Estate Mortgage Bank


BBA, EMBA Timo Ruotsalainen (46) has been appointed as new Managing Director of
Aktia Real Estate Mortgage Bank. Timo Ruotsalainen has previously been Head of
Funding at Municipality Finance Plc and is well acquainted with the finance
sector. 

Timo Ruotsalainen enters into office on 1 October 2010. Aktia Real Estate
Mortgage Bank's present Managing Director Martti Porkka will retire during
2011. Martti Porkka will continue as Senior Advisor employed by Aktia until his
retirement. 

Aktia Real Estate Mortgage Bank is a Finnish credit institution specialised in
mortgage loans. The bank grants loans to private individuals and housing
corporations. The bank is co-owned by Aktia Bank plc, 30 savings and 39 local
cooperative banks. The savings and local cooperative banks broker Aktia Real
Estate Mortgage Bank's mortgages in their respective branches. Aktia Real
Estate Mortgage Bank has a credit stock of approximately EUR 3,000 million.
