New web videos provide accessible, expert service from anywhere in the world
Swedish Alde is the European market leader for heating systems in motorhomes and caravans. Now, the rest of the world are on the way to discovering the quiet comfortable heating. The company's recent expansion into new territories has resulted in the need for technical support outside of Europe. Along with targeted training, Alde has released a series of technical support videos on YouTube.
"With our videos, workshops can easily troubleshoot, repair and service our heating systems, wherever the customer is," says Håkan Streimer, Sales & Marketing Manager Alde.
Remote Customer Service is a new series of English-language web videos with instructions on how to troubleshoot, repair and service the Alde system, making the most of its simple, elegant design. The videos have been produced for professional service agents around the world and, ultimately, will give motorcampers faster, better quality service. Multi-language closed captions can be rolled out as the need arises. There are already many service agents worldwide that can provide technical services for the Alde system if a problem occurs whilst an end user is abroad on holiday.
"This is a completely new way of working and we are showing the industry the way forwards. We are new to the American market and we have few resources in place so far, and these are expected to provide support to all the workshops in the country. With our new Remote Customer Service, the workshops can now promptly and easily service our heating system on their own. The next step is to provide German and French language support," says Håkan Streimer at Alde.
Today, and for the past 60 years Alde's head office and production facility have been in Färlöv, outside Kristianstad. Alde is the world leader in its field and is represented in many countries. In 2014, the company will be focusing on growth, primarily in the North American market.
