Alpine Bank Recognizes Employees with Service Star Awards
Bill Roop, president & CEO of Alpine Bank, announced the Employee Service Star Award winners for 2012 at Alpine Bank’s annual Employee Recognition Dinner. Alpine Bank has been awarding the Service Stars since 1998. The Service Star awards are a way to pay special tribute to those employees who really set the standard for bank employees, in the level of service they provide. All Alpine Bank employees were asked to submit nominations for these prestigious awards, of which three winners were recognized.
Tim Casey , Facilities & Maintenance Worker, was awarded the Service to Internal Customers Service Star Award. Mr. Casey received many nominations noting his commitment to helping his coworkers, his positive attitude, and always getting the job done. One employee commented, “Tim is quick to respond and he has saved the bank money by using his knowledge and experience to complete the work instead of outsourcing.”
According to Mr. Casey, the most important aspect of his job is “Making sure the facilities I maintain are operating to their best capacity, which makes co-workers and customers happy.” Mr. Casey has been in the maintenance industry for 15 years and has been with Alpine Bank since November 2011.
Jessica Greer , Receptionist – East State Branch, was awarded the Service to External Customers Service Star Award. Nominations for Ms. Greer noted that she is always welcoming and friendly to customers who walk through the door, even calling them by name. Her colleagues also described her as professional and thorough. She even learned sign language so she can communicate with two hearing-impaired customers who frequent the branch.
Ms. Greer, an Alpine Bank employee for nearly 6 years, stated, “Making my customers smile makes me happy.”
Kasey Abney , Loan Operations Officer, was awarded the Role Model Service Star Award. Earning the respect of her coworkers, demonstrating strong leadership skills and being a real team player, Ms. Abney’s colleagues said she is someone they can motivate to the extreme. They also commented, “Her ability to lead with precision, compassion, and sympathy, while being supportive and staying candid/level-headed, has earned her respect from her employees, colleagues, and customers.”
Ms. Abney, a member of the Alpine Bank family since December 2006, has been in the financial industry for 12 years and has been over mortgage operations for 4 of those years. Her most important job facet is, “Working with my team to ensure that we are providing the best possible customer service to our mortgage customers.”
In addition to the Service Star Awards, employees with 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service received their Alpine Bank Service Pins. Over twenty employees were also recognized for having 20-plus years of service with the Alpine Bank family.
