Erichsen 343 hydraulic gauges are made of stainless steel and hermetically sealed into a closed circuit filled with hydraulic oil. The gauges are easy to operate and do not require a power source.
Gauge’s large dial allows users to view loads from a distance. An optional extension tube can be added to the dial if the gauge needs to be viewed from a remote location. The Erichsen 343 features a center thru-hole boring that can be used whenever there is a need to fit a centering adapter to secure the load being applied. That centering hole design allows for accurate load application for both compression and tension applications.
Unlike their electronic counterparts (load cells with digital indicators) Erichsen 343 hydraulic gauges are immune to electro static discharge (ESD) and transient voltages. Their rugged design allows them to operate in harsh environments where traditional gauges can’t.
Erichsen 343 models cover a load ranges from 1 kN (220 lbs) to 2500 kN (560.000 lbs) at an accuracy of 1.6% of full scale. Optional digital indicators are available. In addition to aviation and aerospace, they are used in such applications as hydraulic press clamp force verification, continuous measurement of axial forces, and to monitor bearing forces that arise on lathes, boring machines and extrusion presses, among others.
