ASOS LAUNCHES FREE STANDARD DELIVERY WORLDWIDE

 

ASOS today announces its global launch of free shipping to all customers worldwide throughout the Christmas shopping season and Thanksgiving (Thursday, 25th November), until 14th December.  

In a major move on shipping policy, the UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer extends its free standard delivery beyond the UK and US to include its global customer base.

 

ASOS launched a dedicated US site in September 2010, and French and German sites last month, as well as continuing to ship to 195 countries worldwide from its UK site.

 

International director, Jon Kamaluddin, said: “ASOS is proud to announce this expansion of free standard shipping to our customers worldwide as global sales continue to be an increasing percentage of our business. It’s an initiative that will further add to the ease of shopping online for our customers throughout the optimum retail season.”

 

After launching its UK mobile site and celebrating its tenth anniversary earlier this year, the global offer of free standard delivery follows a series of key milestones for ASOS throughout 2010.

 

In 2011, ASOS will open its new warehouse in Barnsley, Yorkshire, UK – creating 1,000 jobs – as part of its strategy to facilitate the ongoing customer demand for its retail services worldwide.
