GL1’s very first pantomime promises to be packed solid with comedy, excitement and adventure as the story takes the audience on a spectacular journey to the fantastical city of Old Peking.

A brilliant cast of top children’s performers will entertain the audience from 3pm on Saturday, 21stDecember for this one-off production.

Steve Elway, Chief Executive of Aspire Sports and Cultural Trust who operate GL1 Leisure Centre said: “We’re really excited to be holding our first pantomime at GL1 Leisure Centre. We are really getting into the festive spirit this year, with our Toddler World Christmas Fayre and Charity Christmas Swim.

“Over 2013 we have aimed to get more children in Gloucester to engage in different activities. From Toddler World and holiday activity camps to the classes available with the Active Life Membership, there is a huge range of things for children and young people to do here. The pantomime is adding yet another way to keep children entertained and we feel it rounds off the success of our schemes this year perfectly,”Steve continued.

The pantomime is produced by Chaplins Pantos, the biggest producers of touring children’s pantomimes in the UK and boast the most experienced staff and theatrical directors in the highly specialised field of pantomime.

Tickets for the pantomime are just £7.50 for a child, £10 an adult or £30 for a family of four. They can be purchased at the GL1 Leisure Centre reception or over the phone on 0845 643 4203.
