Two weeks ago, Aspiro opened a beta version of its music streaming service WiMP in Poland at the Polish music conference European Music Fair. Aspiro has today also signed its first partner contract on the Polish market, with satellite pay TV platform n. The agreement allows n to be the first distribution partner for WiMP and is valid for at least 12 months. The service with n is set to launch in early December.

Customers of n will also get WiMP integrated into their TV through the STB of the platform n.

"We see Poland as a very exciting market and strategically it is obviously important for WiMP to have good partners in place, and we consider n a very good match." says Aspiro's CEO Peter Tonstad.

Platform n is the largest high-definition satellite-tv platform in Poland, on the market since 2006 and is owned by TVN Group. n was the first to offer HD TV in Poland and other future-oriented services such as VOD, Multiroom HD and OTT services. Platform n has about one million customers who can buy WiMP on www.n.pl, n customer service or directly on the n STB.
