Atea Finland has won a frame agreement on Microsoft licenses and related services with KL-Kuntahankinnat Oy. The frame agreement is now in a waiting period, pending appeal from other competitors in the tendering process. The contract is due to be signed on December 28, assuming that there are no delays as a result of a potential appeals process.

Atea is the sole provider of the Microsoft licenses under the frame agreement. The frame agreement is a renewal of an existing contract. This is the third time Atea has been awarded the contract. The agreement runs for 4 years with an estimated total value of EUR 220–250 million. The revenue for the first year (2018) is expected to be EUR 80 million. The contract takes effect on January 1st, 2018.

KL-Kuntahankinnat Oy acts on behalf of Finnish regional and local government clientele by tendering framework agreements, conducting negotiations, managing contracts and offering clients expert services in public procurement.
