THE SWEDISH TELEVISION CHOOSES POLOPOLY AS DIGITAL PLATFORM The Swedish Television, SVT, has chosen the Swedish content management system, Polopoly, as central platform for its internet, interactive tv and teletext activities. The first television shows to use the new platform for its websites is the popular motor show Trafikmagasinet and the travel show Packat & Klart. These will premier in September. The Swedish public service channels have chosen Polopoly's system for content management and relationship management, eCRM. By working with one common publishing platform the objective is to create content management synergies across the different media output channels. "The Swedish Television has an exciting future. The combination of attractive program formats with an advanced multi-channel strategy represents a powerful offer to the Swedish public. The Polopoly platform makes it possible for SVT to produce new interesting, multi-channel program formats - and at the same time achieve cost synergies throughout the organization ," comments Gustaf Sahlman, Polopoly's CEO. "Content management is about structured multi-channel publishing. This means that multi-channel should not mean multi-tasks. The Swedish Television is a customer with strong visions and ideas, that will take a driver-seat position amongst our customers", says Gustaf Sahlman. Polopoly develops platform independent systems for digital content management and customer relationship management (eCRM). Clients include some of the main Scandinavian players within media and retail industries, such as Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten, Bonnier Publications, Boxer, K-World, KF, SIDA and Ericsson.
