Atlanta History Center Celebrates Native American Heritage Month with Exhibitions and Family Programming

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month at the Atlanta History Center this November with exhibition and family program offerings. On Saturday, November 17, spend a day exploring history, culture, and family fun during the annual Southeastern Indians Heritage Program.

Uncover memories of the Southeastern Native American heritage and culture through a variety of craft demonstrations, performances, and discussions led by Native American artists and experts. Featured activities cover the eras from primitive to trade and include storytelling, demonstrations, and discussions about tool making, commerce and trade, hide tanning, fire making, games, and traditional crafts, such as pottery.

  • Self-guided tours of the exhibition, Native Lands: Indians and Georgia
  • Native American storytelling
