Booming Jersey City beauty company continues growth while building strong fundamentals

November 22, 2011 – Jersey City, NJ Atlantic Coast Media Group (ACMG) today announced that the company has been named #1 in the NJBIZ  list of  New Jersey’s 2011 Fifty Fastest Growing Companies.  NJBIZ is New Jersey’s premiere publication solely devoted to business news in the state.

Atlantic Coast Media Group was founded by Andrew Surwilo and Thomas Shipley in 2005 and is the parent company of luxury beauty brands Hydroxatone®, Keranique™, Luminique™, and the recently acquired Sarah McNamara Beauty New York.  The company grew 480% from 2007 to 2010, increasing revenue to $170mm.

The NJBIZ 50 Fastest Growing Companies award celebrate New Jersey's most dynamic companies who progressively contribute to the success of the state's economic growth and stability.  To qualify, companies had to meet selection criteria that included a revenue size of at least $500,000 within the past three out of four years and growth in revenue over a four year period, dating from fiscal year 2007 to 2010.

Presenting sponsor, Rothstein Kass, calculated the nominations and then ranked the companies according to revenue growth over the four-year period. Both dollar and percentage increases were taken into consideration.
