  • Vehicles used by HM The Queen and her immediate family will be showcased at the Festival’s Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ Concours, of which QEST is the curator
  • Autoglym has prepared the exhibits and will maintain them over the Festival weekend (28 June – 1 July)

Autoglym – a holder of two Royal Warrants of Appointment – has deployed its expert technical specialists to ensure that over 20 official Royal vehicles reflect their provenance with a perfect shine as they take centre stage at this year’s Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ Concours d’elegance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (28 June - 1 July).

To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Festival’s annual Concours has been curated by its 2012 charity beneficiary, QEST (the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust), with the theme; a ‘Celebration of Royal Travel’.

As official partners to QEST, Autoglym has spent over 144 hours meticulously preparing
a selection of 22 vehicles that have been used by Her Majesty The Queen and members of the Royal Family over the last 65 years. Autoglym’s Technical Services Specialists will deploy their expert skills to painstakingly maintain a gleaming shine throughout the Festival of Speed weekend, ensuring visitors see the cars at their very best.

QEST sourced the eclectic range of vehicles from the Sandringham Estate, The Royal Mews, Gaydon National Collection and a number of private and commercial collections. A host of renowned specialist restorers, including Rolls-Royce specialist, P & A Wood, were commissioned to ready the cars mechanically ahead of the showcase.

Entrants into the concours range from a 1954 Rolls-Royce Phantom IV Landaulette, which was specially commissioned by the Duke of Edinburgh, to The Queen’s personal 1983 Land Rover One Ten.

The eclectic, celebrity-laden Concours judging panel will include AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson, supermodel Natalia Vodianova and on-screen design guru, Kevin McCloud, all of whom will share their thoughts on the collection.

“The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is one of the many events in 2012 that offer us the opportunity to celebrate all that is great about being British,” explains Autoglym CEO, Paul Caller. “I’m proud that Autoglym has been entrusted to prepare a range of vehicles with which the The Queen is so closely associated and that will be displayed to several thousand visitors at the Festival of Speed. I hope our efforts in presenting the vehicles at their very best contribute to a successful Concours exhibition for QEST, which is a very worthy charity that we’re delighted to support.”

Autoglym’s range of premium car care products, which are developed and produced in Hertfordshire, are used by appointment to the households of Her Majesty The Queen and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales.

“Autoglym’s reputation as a leading British premium car care manufacturer, as well as its two Royal Warrants, make it a natural partner to QEST’s fundraising efforts at the Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ Concours d’elegance,” explains QEST Chairman, Richard Watling. “Autoglym’s Technical Services Specialists have worked tirelessly to prepare the vehicles for the event and will undoubtedly continue this exceptional work over the Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend.”

Autoglym’s range of premium car care products can be found in motor accessory shops throughout the UK. More about Autoglym and retailer locations is available at Autoglym.com or by calling 01462 677766.
