Avid S3L System and Avid Pro Tools 11 featured in AVnu Alliance’s Ethernet AVB interoperability-capable product demos

WHAT:           Avid® will be showcasing its latest proven and trusted audio solutions for live sound, including the Avid S3L System and Avid Pro Tools® 11, on the AVnu Alliance pavilion at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE).

In addition, the Avid S3L System and Pro Tools 11 will be included in a live Ethernet AVB interoperability demonstration with other AVB-capable products from Meyer Sound and Extreme Networks and run by industry forum AVnu Alliance to highlight how AVB dramatically simplifies AV networks in a live sound environment.

“Avid has led the live sound industry in seeing the potential of Ethernet AVB, having been the first to introduce it into an audio console with the SC48 Remote System. More recently in another pioneering move, the Avid S3L System is the industry’s first console designed entirely around the open AVB standard” said Tim Carroll, vice president of Worldwide Audio Programs at Avid. “The AVnu Alliance demonstration will be a perfect platform to show visitors to ISE the benefits of AVB and how the Avid S3L System and Pro Tools 11 perform reliably in a live environment.”

WHO:              AVnu Alliance is an industry forum dedicated to the advancement of professional-quality audio video by promoting the adoption of the IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging (AVB), and related standards, over various networking link-layers. The organisation creates extensive test procedures and processes that ensure interoperability of networked A/V devices, helping to provide the highest quality streaming A/V experience. The Alliance promotes awareness of the benefits of its technologies and collaborates with other organisations and entities to make use of this work in their respective efforts to provide a better end-user A/V experience.
