ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES SET TO ENJOY NEW OPPORTUNTIES THANKS TO LOCAL SPONSORSHIP
HULL-BASED AXIS FOR BUSINESS BECOMES LATEST FIRM TO PLEDGE FUNDS AND SUPPORT FOR CASE TRAINING SERVICES
Hull, UK - People with disabilities are set to benefit from a skills scheme in the region - thanks to a series of local sponsorship deals.
Hull-based Axis for Business is the latest company to pledge their support to CASE Training Services, a charity offering help and employment opportunities.
The UK’s leading business telecoms and utilities provider joins a growing roster of firms signing up to try and improve the prospects of people with disabilities in the city.
Founded by a group of parents and carers in 1985, CASE currently supports 100 clients from Hull and East Riding with learning disabilities and associated conditions including Epilepsy, Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Health, Down’s Syndrome, Fragile X, ADHD and Global Development Delay.
By providing appropriate education, training and therapeutic services, adults are given the skills and confidence needed to live full, independent lives.
As well as offering financial support, Axis for Business will join a group of firms taking part in a range of initiatives including sponsoring a trainee for a year; donating Christmas party and presents for trainees and contributing towards a CASE Rebuild Project.
Speaking about their involvement, David Meyers, Managing Director of Axis for Business, said: “CASE is a very well-known charity in Hull, and I believe it’s down to the great work they’ve put into the community to support adults with disabilities.
“We look forward to supporting CASE further in the future in any possible way, either with money or time.”
CASE Training is only the latest project to receive help from Axis for Business.
The company is also a long-term supporter of Riverside Grange Care Home on Hessle Road, Hull, a centre that specialises in providing outstanding Alzheimer’s residential care to the elderly and those suffering with dementia and mental health conditions.
The business has raised more than £2,500 for the Care Home over the past few years, with the most recent event being a World Cup-themed event, which generated £850.
