BASWARE PREPARES THE 2006 FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND COMPARATIVE FIGURES ACCORDING
TO NEW ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES AND RESTATES INTERIM REPORTS AND COMPARATIVE FIGURES
FOR THE FIRST THREE QUARTERS OF 2006

BasWare Corp. adjusts its accounting principles regarding the revenue recognition
of license sales, as recommended by the new auditor. The need for the adjustment
arose in conjunction with the 2006 Financial Statements audit. BasWare's Annual
General Meeting on February 15, 2006 elected Deloitte & Touche, Authorized Public
Accountants as regular auditor, with APA Eero Lumme in charge.

In some cases, BasWare has in the end of the quarters entered license sales as
revenue based on agreements where the actual license delivery has been delayed by
some days. As a result, license sales have been recognized as revenue a month
beforehand. In addition, the revenue recognition principles of 2006 license sales
have been adjusted according to the auditor's recommendation.

As of the beginning of 2006, the valuation principles have also been tightened
with regards to accounts receivables.

Based on the above-mentioned principles, BasWare is to prepare the 2006 Financial
Statements and comparative figures according to the new principles and restate
the 2006 interim reports and the corresponding 2005 comparative figures for the
first three quarters. The above-mentioned, adjusted principles will also be
applied in the 2006 Financial Statements, in the last interim report of the year
as well as in the future Financial Statements of the Company.

Contrary to the previously announced date, BasWare Corp. will publish the 2006
Financial Statements on February 1, 2007. The restated comparative figures for
2005 as well as the 2006 interim reports for the three first quarters will be
published on the same date. The Annual General Meeting is postponed to be held on
February 26, 2007.

BasWare Corp. assesses that the adjusted accounting principles have no effect on
the Company's financial performance in the future.

BasWare Corp. will publish preliminary information on the 2006 Financial
Statements' key figures immediately after this release.
