Bibby Supply Chain Services CEO Iain Speak has received the prestigious Chairman’s Award from the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA).

The award recognises those who have made an outstanding lifetime contribution to the warehousing and logistics industry, with the winner selected by the Chairman of UKWA.

Speak said: “It is an immense privilege to receive this award, and I am humbled by the generosity and appreciation of my colleagues in the logistics industry. As a passionate supporter of UKWA, I am delighted to contribute through my participation on the Board, and will continue to work tirelessly on behalf of the sector.”

UKWA Chairman John McGuire said: “During Iain’s time as CEO of Bibby Distribution and now Bibby Supply Chain Services, the company has seen substantial growth. This growth has included integrating large acquisitions and achieving record business wins in often challenging economic conditions.

“That in itself is sufficient evidence to justify recognition, but Iain has also been involved in the governance of UKWA since 2000. His contribution over the years has been immense and invaluable. Iain has a vision and clarity of thought which have proven so useful over the years.”

Iain Speak joins other illustrious winners such as Richard Hunt CBE of Psion, Ian Veitch, European CEO of Yusen and former UKWA Vice President Ken Richards.
