BillerudKorsnäs announces today that a decision has been made to make a change to the senior management team leading to that the role as Executive Vice President will be removed and Christer Simrén will thereby leave the company.

The decision has been made based on the fact that the company is in a phase where short and clear decision chains are required to deliver on set targets.

“Christer Simrén has made significant contributions as Executive Vice President of BillerudKorsnäs since the merger of Billerud and Korsnäs in 2012. He has been crucial in our work for laying the foundation for the major investments in the future that are currently under way. We thank Christer for his efforts and wish him good luck for the future”, says Petra Einarsson, President and CEO of BillerudKorsnäs.
