Bonava has concluded an agreement for the acquisition of land from Askøy Tomteselskap. The properties are located near Kleppestø Centre and Askøybron, Norway, an area for which Bonava will pursue a zoning process to construct about 480 homes.

The land is situated on the island of Askøy, which is part of west Bergen, and is characterised by a varied landscape close to green areas and with views of the mountains and sea. The area is located close to schools, shops and public transport, with good connections to the centre of Bergen, which is only 15 minutes away.

- I am pleased that we can expand our project and development rights portfolio in a prime residential location in Askøy. The acquisition means we are significantly expanding our portfolio in Bergen and is in line with our strategy of developing homes and happy neighbourhoods where people have the highest quality of life, says Joachim Hallengren, President and CEO of Bonava.

Bonava will gain access to the land during the second quarter of 2017 and is planning to start selling the first homes in 2018.
