Sacramento, CA – The California Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation (CH&LAEF) is pleased to announce the 2015 recipients of the CH&LA Lodging Service Award:

  • Brewery Gulch Inn – Mendocino, CA
  • Hallmark Inn – Davis, CA
  • Magic Castle Hotel, Los Angeles, CA

CH&LA’s Lodging Service Award provides the properties’ staff with the Guest Service Gold Training and Certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. Guest Service Gold® is a comprehensive program designed to accomplish the goal of creating guest service-oriented line level employees who know how to engage with their guests to provide memorable guest service. Core components include training, employee certification and property certification.

Upon completion of the training, these award-winning member properties will become eligible to apply for the Certified Guest Service Property designation, and will be presented with a plaque which they may prominently display for guests to show their ongoing commitment to guest service, as well as utilizing the designation in marketing and promotional materials.

The CH&LAEF launched the Lodging Service Award in 2013, offering member properties the opportunity to submit entries to receive the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute’s Guest Service Gold Training & Certification Program.

“Each of these properties represents a commitment to high quality customer service for the lodging industry,” stated Lynn Mohrfeld, President & CEO, CH&LA.
