Camanio Care expands the product portfolio and introduces the BikeAround ™ Screen
The welfare technology company Camanio Care AB (publ) launches today a new product within the business area ”Active Life”. BikeAround Screen is a smaller version of the BikeAround jDome, where the characteristic dome has been replaced by a flat screen. The solution has been asked for by several organizations that sees a need of a complementing tool that facilitates an Active Life for different users.
BikeAround jDome is a unique assistive device from Camanio Care that makes it possible for persons with eg dementia or disabilities to be physically and socially active. The solution enables the person to ride a bicycle in their childhood neighborhood, or anywhere in the world, through a unique software that uses images from Google Street View. A film of the surrounding environment is projected around the user during the ride which stimulates memory, cognition and mood. BikeAround Screen is a more compact version of the BikeAround jDome and also more modular.
- BikeAround can be connected to a TV set and is easy to transfer between different rooms in a nursing home or living community, says the CEO of Camanio Care Catharina Borgenstierna.
- The new solution also opens up for an even wider range of products within the Active Life portfolio and can be scalable both in terms of soft- and hardware for future possible applications.
Active Life is a key issue with care organizations
In Sweden there are today app 160 000 persons living with a dementia diagnosis. Every year almost 24 000 new persons are diagnosed and about the same number of persons pass away. The disease can be cured but different measures can relieve the symptoms, facilitate daily life and improve the quality of life for the person concerned and their family. The Swedish National Board of Health and welfare writes in the National guidelines
for dementia care that ”….It is also important that there are possibilities for meaningful activities, social interactions and flexibility when it comes to routines. This is in particular true for special living facilities and daycare centers but also during certain measures such as an adapted mealtime situations, outdoor activities and physical activities.”
Camanio Care offers training programs with Active Life

The training program that is offered within Active Life during either one full day or half-day includes guidelines from authorities, advice and guidance for different approaches to Active Life.
