The 40’ Command Bridge-Style Yacht is the Second New Carver Yacht Launched in 2013

Pulaski, Wis., (July 3, 2013) Carver Yachts is launching the Carver C40, the second offering this year in a class of completely new yachts designed to meet the demands of the global market with an unmatched combination of features and value.

The first model of the Carver C40, a 40’ low profile, command-bridge style cruising yacht, is nearing completion at Carver’s Pulaski, Wis., yacht yard and will begin extensive sea trails in August. Carver will publicly unveil the C40 Aug. 22 at the Progressive Michigan City In-Water Boat Show where it will be displayed alongside the C34, which Carver launched earlier this year.

Erik Nelson, vice president of sales and marketing for Carver-brand yachts, said the C40 and C34 represent Carver’s product development strategy designing and building spacious, comfortable vessels. The interior accommodations of the C40 display Carver’s fresh and aggressive approach to creating products that reflect the needs of today’s boating enthusiasts, he said.

“This new series from Carver is unlike anything on the market today,” Nelson said. “We know that experienced boaters are looking for a new, exciting yacht that suits not only their aesthetic needs but also their functional requirements. Carver’s all new C34, and now the C40, deliver fresh new styling, unmatched space, outstanding value and exceptional quality.”

One of the most prominent exterior features of the C40 is the yacht’s expansive low-profile command bridge. This elevated deck not only provides the captain with a great vantage point in which to operate the vessel, but also includes seating and lounging space. At deck level, the C40 is designed with an integrated swim platform, cockpit, salon and galley that create a unified living and social environment.

Interior features of the yacht include, spacious master staterooms, head compartments and a private guest cabin that gives the vessel a much larger feel. When the salon lounge is converted to a double berth, the yacht provides sleeping accommodations for six people.

A pair of efficient and dependable inboard engines power the new C40 propulsion system. These engines allow the yacht to achieve a top speed in excess of 30 mph. Gasoline or diesel engines are available and a bow thruster to increase maneuverability is available.

The C34 and C40 can be seen starting this summer through the fall at the following shows:

  • Aug. 22–25: Progressive Michigan City In-Water Boat Show
  • Sept. 12–15: Newport International Boat Show
  • Sept. 12–15: North American Sail & Power Boat Show (Cedar Point Boat Show)
  • Sept. 19–22: Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show
