Caverion and German Aerospace Center expand their cooperation in facility management

Caverion has been awarded with a four-year Managed Services contract with the German Aerospace Center for its location in Stuttgart. From July 2017 onwards, Caverion will be responsible for Managed Services, including Technical Maintenance in the facilities. The order has a value of around EUR 2.3 million.

With this new contract, the German Aerospace Center and Caverion expand their cooperation. "We see Caverion as a strategic partner who knows our needs and meets our requirements. The company has been doing a good job at our location in Oberpfaffenhofen for years. This is what we now also expect in Stuttgart," says Dieter Pabst, Object Management South, German Aerospace Center.

German Aerospace Center in Stuttgart has about 700 experts working in offices, laboratories and technical workshops in a total of six institutes. The buildings are connected by an underground supply channel and are supplied with district heating and cooling.

“We as the building services provider will maintain around 15,000 individual components in the buildings. High flexibility is required from us in order not to interfere with ongoing research. High demands also arise from data protection,” says Werner Kühn, President & CEO, division Germany of Caverion.

The German Aerospace Center is the national aeronautics and space research centre of the Federal Republic of Germany. It belongs to Caverion’s public client segment.
