HOUSTON, TEXAS - February 11, 2013 —Vedero Software, a leading provider of software solutions for automated demand response, and Champion Energy Services, a leading retail electric provider, today announced a partnership delivering an automated demand response solution to commercial customers in North America.

Demand response programs compensate participants for their willingness to reduce electricity consumption at key times such as when the threat of blackouts looms due to lack of supply to meet demand. Commercial buildings including office complexes, hospitals, schools, universities, and data centers consume more than 40% of the electricity in North America, and the operators that manage these buildings are keenly interested in participating in demand response programs. However, curtailing electricity must be balanced to accommodate the needs of the building occupants. Vedero Software meets the emerging critical requirement of providing a robust platform that ensures maximization of demand response events, while maintaining occupant comfort.

"We understand that automation is imperative, given the complex nature of our customers' buildings and the need to respond in minutes to demand response events," said Scott Fordham, President and CEO of Champion Energy. "Automated Demand Response through Vedero Software is yet another way Champion Energy Services can add value to our commercial clients."

Champion Energy and Vedero are teaming to jointly offer the Vedero Software Solution to commercial accounts. Champion Energy personnel have a deep understanding of the needs of their clients and can facilitate a demand response solution that rewards customers financially for their ability and willingness to reduce electricity consumption.

"The team at Champion Energy truly 'Get it' when it comes to mapping solutions to the energy needs of their clients, and we are proud to be teaming with them to generate revenue and cost savings for our mutual clients," said Joe Pollard, CEO and Co-Founder, Vedero Software.
