Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and The Mint Museum celebrate with events in April.

In April, families and children will have the opportunity to celebrate El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day), with programs that take place in select Library branches and partnering locations. Also known as Día! Diversity in Action, this initiative provides an opportunity to showcase services that celebrate our nation’s rich cultural tapestry.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has celebrated Día since 1998 as part of its commitment to connecting children and their families to multicultural books, bilingual services and educational resources. Nationally, Día is recognized on April 30, but local programs presented by the Library and its partners will take place throughout the month of April, culminating in a grand celebration at ImaginOn on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
