More Than A Million AutoCare Leaflets Hit The Streets

As part of its mandate to promote the garages within its 300-strong AutoCare garage network, GROUPAUTO has teamed up with Warner Bros in a promotion that will support the network through what is expected to be one of the biggest film launches of the year.

The film studio has provided GROUPAUTO with four pairs of tickets to the London premiere of ‘The Hobbit; An Unexpected Journey’, the prequel to ‘The Lord of the Rings’ blockbuster and these tickets will be given away in a prize draw at the end of the promotion, which runs from the beginning of October to the end of November.

Headed ‘Prepare Your Car For An Unexpected Journey’, GROUPAUTO has produced 1.2 million leaflets that feature the official promotional artwork for the film and invite motorists within the local postcode area of each AutoCare garage to book their car in for a service or repair.

The leaflets will be distributed during the first two weeks of October and as well as giving each household the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to a screening of ‘The Hobbit’, they will also receive a CarPlan winter car care pack.

“Our winter promotion is another example of how GROUPAUTO endeavour to support the garages in our AutoCare network,” said managing director, Jim Mazza. “By joining forces with such a prominent organisation as Warner Bros, we further build the reputation of the AutoCare network to the general motoring public by linking these garages with a trusted and well-recognised brand and by providing the opportunity to win a fantastic prize for what will be one of the ‘must see’ films of the year.”

To further increase the awareness of the promotion, AutoCare garages will also receive a selection of posters that can be strategically placed around their premises to inform existing customers already visiting the garage. In addition, GROUPAUTO provides AutoCare garages with its G-Publish facility, which allows them to produce personalised versions of the material to maximise the effectiveness of the campaign and drive customers into their garage.

The prize-winners will be announced on the 1st December, two weeks before the film goes on general release in cinemas from 14th December.

Notes For Editors

What Is AutoCare?

AutoCare is the UK division of EuroGarage, a growing network of more than 6,000 independent garages across Europe, all of whom are committed to quality.

The 300-strong AutoCare network is operated by GROUPAUTO, the largest UK trading group of independent parts distributors and coordinated by GROUPAUTO members who ensure that each AutoCare garage receives the full benefits that the programme provides.

The AutoCare concept is all about raising the level of professionalism within each garage, which means that it appeals to those who are passionate about the quality of the services they offer to their customers.

Therefore, AutoCare members benefit from an unrivalled technical and commercial training, a business IT system that has been developed specifically for garages and marketing and promotions to attract new customers and ensure that existing customers keep coming back. Their local GROUPAUTO member also supplies them with Tier 1 quality parts.

These foundations ensure that consumers are justifiably confident in the quality and competence of the service they are provided and therefore trust the AutoCare brand.
