AUTOMECHANIKA DELIVERS FOR FIRST LINE

Frankfurt Show A Great Success

First Line put significant investment into its presence at Automechanika and has pronounced itself very satisfied with the sales leads and general enquiries that were generated during the course of the show.

Naturally, the prime purpose of the trade fair was to raise awareness of both the First Line and Borg & Beck brands and the high quality products in their range. However, the company also brought out its product managers in order to meet with its many existing suppliers and see what other products were available from other suppliers attending what is the world’s premiere aftermarket trade gathering.

At the conclusion of the show managing director, Dan Joyner said: “We set ourselves a number of ambitious objectives for Automechanika this year and I’m pleased to say that by the end of the show we were well on the way to achieving them. Obviously it is only when an order is agreed and the products delivered that a sales enquiry becomes a customer, but the interest we had from scores of visitors allows us feel very optimistic that many of these enquiries will bear fruit over the long-term.

“We really wanted to stand out at the show this year as we had a lot of things to shout about and so we were delighted that the stand really looked the part, even better in the flesh than it did on paper. We also had a superb location at the entrance to hall 5.1 and so the combination of quality products, stunning stand design and the right position meant that we attracted visitors from all over the world.”

Although most of the product groups under the First Line and Borg & Beck brands would be familiar to visitors who came onto the stand in 2010, there was a notable addition this year with the inclusion of the Borg & Beck braking range.

“We launched the braking programme in February this year and it has been a tremendous success story for us,” Joyner continued. “Just as we were convinced that the clutch programme would be popular when we relaunched the brand in 2007, we also believed that a quality braking programme under the trusted Borg & Beck name would also prove to be well received.

“Braking is a particularly competitive product group, so the quality of the products needs to be first rate, but the launch of the Borg & Beck programme proves that despite the existing brands in the market, there is a genuine demand for a quality range under a well-respected and well-known brand name.”
