In the 2013 Sunday Times survey of Top 100 Best Not-For-Profit organisations to work for BEN, the automotive industry charity has again been accredited with a star rating.

As an independently run survey based on direct feedback from the workforce the credibility of such an award is extremely high. The rigorous survey provides a comprehensive view of employee engagement on all of the key workplace factors.

Chief Executive David Main was delighted with the news saying: “This is a strong endorsement of our efforts to always consider our dual role as a charity. Supporting our industry colleagues and their dependents in times of need is paramount but can only be achieved if we also recognise the importance of our own staff welfare and development.”

Founded in 1905, BEN offers practical and financial help, support, advice and friendship to those who work, or have worked in the automotive and related industries and to their family dependants. In addition to its substantial welfare work, BEN operates a number of care centres at various locations throughout the UK and a day care centre in Coventry.
