UK WORKER OF THE YEAR 2013 PROVES A HUGE HIT AT OULTON PARK

UK Worker of the Year 2013, which officially launched at Oulton Park over the Dickies British Superbike Weekend, proved a sensational hit amongst thousands of racing fanatics.

UK Worker of the Year 2013 is sponsored by Dickies, in association with Suzuki. This year’s winner will have the luxury of being able to take home a Suzuki Swift car or if they prefer, a Suzuki bike.

This will mark the fourth year of the competition presented by the legendary workwear company, Dickies, which seeks to recognise and reward excellence in the British workforce. The competition is free to enter and open to any UK worker aged 17 or over and will close on the 6thSeptember 2013.

One of the prizes that is on offer to the winner of this year’s competition, the Suzuki GSR750 was on show at the Oulton Park event. The prize had thousands of racing fans admiring the motorbike as visitors to the race meeting had their chance to enter UK Worker of the Year there and then, to put themselves in with a chance of being crowned as winner.

“We couldn’t have asked for more from the first ever Dickies British Superbike Weekend. We are delighted to continue - and indeed extend - our support of the world’s finest national bike racing series this year, as an official sponsor and supplier of safety wear for the BSB Marshals,” explained Maurice Morton, sales and marketing director of Dickies. “It is also fabulous to see such an interest in the UK Worker of the Year competition and how much admiration bikers had for the GSR750,”

Dickies’ sponsored Chris Walker, on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki put in a fine performance over the Dickies British Superbike Weekend at Oulton Park, with two top ten finishes, at the meeting, including a sixth place in the second of the day’s two superbike races.

Dickies has renewed Its partnerships with Chris Walker this season for the MCE BSB championship and also with Be Wiser Kawasaki in both 1000cc and 600cc British Superstock series.

The winner of UK Worker of the Year 2013 will be announced at the Gala event, which will be held at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on 18thOctober 2013.

UK Worker of the Year searches for workers who exemplify what doing a good job is all about organised by workwear giant, Dickies.
