Scientology: How We Help—Bringing Happiness to the Eternal City

The Church of Scientology has published a new brochure, Scientology: How We Help—The Way to Happiness, Creating a World of Honesty, Trust & Self-Respect. Volunteers from the Church of Scientology of Rome share this “secret” of happiness with their city and visitors from around the world.

Volunteers from the Church of Scientology of Rome introduce fellow Romans and visitors from around the world to The Way to Happiness, a nonreligious moral code based entirely on common sense.

With all the pomp and ceremony of an ancient Roman circus, the Rome Marathon began, heralded by Roman Legions in full regalia. And the route that begins and ends at the Coliseum and passes through Piazza di Spagna, by the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Saint Peter's and Piazza Venezia, was filled with runners while thousands lined the streets to cheer them on.

A team of volunteers from the Church of Scientology of Rome joined in the spirit of the day, offering athletes and wellwishers a route they can follow year-round. This is a route laid out by the choices we all make every day—choices made simple and clear by The Way to Happiness, a nonreligious moral code based entirely on common sense.

Whether they know it or not, most marathoners are already quite familiar with precepts of the The Way to Happiness. If not, they would never succeed in completing a 26.2 mile/42.195 km race. They must already be taking care of themselves and being temperate. To train for such a race they must be industrious and competent. And despite the competition, most long-distance runners are known for their sportsmanship. These traits are all covered in the precepts of The Way to Happiness.

Entirely nonreligious, The Way to Happiness, written by author, humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard, is both unique and powerful. Immensely popular since its first publication in 1981, more than 100 million copies have since been distributed in 205 countries and territories, providing a moral compass for anyone to live by.
