Climeon is selected National Champion for Sweden in the “European Business Awards”, Europe’s largest business recognition program. Climeon will  represent Sweden in the category “UKTI Award for Innovation 2015/16”. It was awarded due to the groundbreaking Climeon Ocean™ solution that converts hot water into 100% clean electricity, at a cost lower than existing energy sources.

Climeon has been named a National Champion for Sweden in The European Business Awards. The European Business Awards is a prestigious competition with over 32,000 businesses from 33 European countries, supported by busines leaders, academics, media and political representatives from across Europe.

- We are very proud to be selected to represent Sweden as a National Champion, says Climeon CEO Thomas Öström.

Climeon was founded on the idea to do well for the world as well as delivering great value to customers and shareholders. Addressing the world’s climate challenges, one key insight was that around half of the world’s energy is wasted as low temperature heat – a resource that has until now been virtually un-utilized. That insight in combination with extraordinarily high ambition both on technology (efficiency) and business (payback time for customers) has led to a series of innovations resulting in Climeon Ocean™.

- Climeon has always had a vision to recruit talents with a mind-set that everything is possible, says Climeon CEO Thomas Öström. It is through this we have developed our Ocean innovation with outstanding performance.

Climeon Ocean™ is a heat power system that delivers performance that far exceeds what most, including leading university professors, thought was possible. Each system can deliver up to 14% efficiency or more than 50% of the theoretical max. With its high efficiency and low cost Climeon Ocean™ can address a big part of the world’s waste heat as well as being utilized for solar power or geothermal power. Successfully addressing that potential will have significant impact on the CO2 emissions on a global basis.
