Climeon one of 3 winners of the innovation contest by Poland’s largest company

Swedish Climeon has together with two Polish partners won an energy efficiency innovation contest organized by Poland’s largest energy company PKN ORLEN. The award included 10 000 Euro in cash and a request for a large scale deployment proposal for PKN ORLEN’s global operations.

In a contest, arranged by Fortune Global 500 company PKN ORLEN, Climeon and two Polish partners presented a waste heat recovery solution to optimize energy efficiency of the company’s crude oil distillation units. The award consisted of a 10 000 Euro financial prize and a request for a large scale deployment proposal for PKN ORLENs global operations.

Energy costs can account for more than 70% of the costs in the European petroleum industry and is an important factor for all oil companies. Climeons solutions, as presented with partners PWPO-T PROMONT and Revolvent, were awarded the prize as the presented solution delivers record high efficiency. Proposed solution included Climeons award winning heat power technology,
Climeon Ocean™, as well as an absorption cooling unit. The solution will convert low-temperature waste heat into 100% clean electricity and cooling.
