Desert Hot Springs Mayor to Speak, Key Officials from Sacramento to Tour State-of-The-Art-Facility

CANNDESCENT, a cultivator of ultra-premium cannabis flower, today announced that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 29, 2016, to open its Desert Hot Springs, CA facility, the first in all of Southern California to operate with a municipally-issued permit for cannabis cultivation.

Scott Matas, Mayor of Desert Hot Springs, and Adrian Sedlin, Chief Executive Officer of CANNDESCENT, will speak at the ribbon-cutting, during which the company plans to gift a monument to the city in recognition of the historic event.  A reception will immediately follow from 4pm–7pm at the famed Two Bunch Palms Resort in Desert Hot Springs.

“We’re thrilled to open our facility, and thank the community for its tremendous support,” said Sedlin. “We’re proud to be the first cultivator in SoCal to operate in full compliance with California’s Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act.  More important, we’re proud to improve the quality of life for our patients so they can lead more CANNDESCENT lives.”

Mayor Scott Matas added, “September 29th will be an historic day for our city.  With CANNDESCENT opening its doors and fifty more projects in the works, cultivation tax revenues will drive significant economic expansion in the area and allow us to improve services for our residents.”

CANNDESCENT, which recently announced a $6.5M seed round, the largest on record for a Southern California cultivator, leads the cannabis 2.0 charge in California with a combination of world-class management and deep cultivation expertise.  The company has created an ultra-premium line of cannabis flower marketed under its 5Cs or pillars—Calm, Cruise, Create, Connect, and Charge.
