New infographic details why tenants leave a private rented property

Landlord insurance specialists Cover4LetProperty have added a new infographic to their website highlighting the reasons why tenants leave a property in the private rental sector (PRS).

      Richard Burgess, Director at Cover4LetProperty, says: “As a landlord, having a good tenant – i.e one who pays their rent on time and looks after the property - is a tenant you want to hang on to. In that vein, we wanted to find out why tenants in the PRS move, to see if the decision to remain or stay could be influenced by the landlord.”

The study* showed that in the last 5 years, the top three reasons from moving from one rented property to another were due to:

  • nearly a quarter (23%) relocating to a different area;
  • the cost (23%);
  • the condition of the property.

The infographic highlights all the reasons why tenants move, including their age band, income and gender, and can be viewed here: http://www.cover4letproperty.co.uk/about-us/why-tenants-move-infographic/ .
