Creative agency Cravens develops app for ZSL London Zoo
Newcastle based agency helps to promote Zoo Lates event at ZSL London Zoo with iPhone app
Newcastle based creative agency, Cravens , has developed an iPhone app for ZSL London Zoo that enables users to take a photograph and transform themselves into their favourite zoo animal.
The development of the app is part of a wider marketing campaign designed to promote the Zoo Lates at ZSL London Zoo , which is a big evening celebration at the Zoo every Friday in June and July from 6-10pm, and is fast becoming the must-attend alternative night out for the capital’s party animals.
Once users have downloaded the app and created their animal alter-ego, they can share it with the world across social channels Facebook and Twitter. The images can also be uploaded to a special Zoo Lates online gallery, giving users the chance to win four tickets to the event every week simply by gaining the most votes.
Gary Jobe, head of digital at Cravens, said: “It was great to have a hand – and most of our faces – in such a fun and exciting piece of work.
“Like most great apps it’s simple and easy to use but, most importantly, it works with and enhances the wider marketing campaign. We think it helps to capture the fun element of this summer initiative and gets people involved, building the sense of community around Zoo Lates.”
Owen Craft, Marketing Manager at ZSL London Zoo, added: “Zoo Lates is now in its third year and is becoming an essential part of London’s summer social scene. Now, thanks to Cravens, our new app lets even more people share in the fun and get in the party mood.”
