CDD proud to sponsor Northants Girls Cricket League

Cricket Deal Direct has continued its support of cricket across all levels by sponsoring the newly formed U11 and U14 Northants Girl’s Cricket League.

The new League was borne out of the increased interest shown in the U11 squads in 2014, with a clearly growing number of girls showing a desire and the aptitude to develop outside of playing in boy’s sides

The Cricket Deal Direct Northamptonshire Girls League will give talented young female players an opportunity to develop their skills in preparation for higher tier cricket, addressing a shortage in opportunities for female cricketers to develop to county cricket level.

In its first year, the League will take the form of an 8-a-side pairs format, with rules for the competition specially tailored to nurture developmental attitudes, as opposed to the ‘win-at-all-costs’ mentality which has been demonstrated to discourage young female cricketers in the past.

Cricket Deal Direct’s support of female cricket isn’t limited to the sponsoring of leagues, it also offers sponsorship opportunities for aspiring young female players, as well as developing and being the sole distributor of the Heather Knight Cricket Collection, an exclusively-for-women range of cricket equipment.

Ian Anderson, Managing Director of Cricket Deal Direct, is delighted to have been approached to sponsor the Northants Girls Cricket League: “Without doubt, we are proud to support this latest development in women’s cricket at youth level. It is testament to the growth and interest in this sport and illustrates our commitment to support cricket at all levels,” said Anderson.

Multiple clubs have already entered the league, and all involved are keen to gain new players in this exciting development for Northamptonshire cricket. Please contact the below clubs directly or email with the details provided.

Cricket Deal Direct Ltd was established in 2012 with the objective of sourcing quality hand-crafted cricket equipment direct from local Indian manufacturers and craftsmen. Our goal is very simple – “we want to change the game for buying cricket gear”.

By bringing new and exciting quality cricket brands to the market, we want to encourage cricket club and sporting associations to link with us and promote these thrilling new products together. Cricket Deal Direct will provide a transparent link and reward the organisation for any sales at discounted rates. We will also work together with clubs and associations to consider any joint opportunities that can benefit us both, either through sponsorship or other attractive reward schemes.

Quite simply, the company is based around the concept of “helping and supporting” cricket at all levels, including the promotion of Junior and Women’s cricket.

Cricket Deal Direct Ltd is the exclusive UK distributor of the SM cricket brand. SM is located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India and has a long and distinguished history. The original company was set up in Sialkot (now Pakistan) in 1925, by the Grandfather of today’s owners.

Cricket Deal Direct Ltd is proud to be associated with a company offering such a rich cricketing history and tradition. Today SM offers an exciting and vibrant range of quality cricket products at very affordable prices. Many International and local cricket players have endorsed the range, and it is our intention to promote and introduce the brand throughout the UK and “spread the word” amongst the cricketing community.
