New additions to office* show line-up announced
With office* 2011 now just under a week away, business travel management specialist Gray Dawes and hospitality event Jamie Oliver at Battersea Power this Xmas are just two of the most recent additions to this year’s exhibitor line-up. Taking place on Thursday and Friday, 15-16 September at Earls Court, London, the event offers an unrivalled opportunity for thousands of corporate buyers from the PA and Office Manager community to see a host of exciting new suppliers offering special ‘show only’ deals on many essential business purchases.
“Gray Dawes Travel is delighted to be attending the office* show with our partner, leading international technology provider, KDS,” says the organisation’s CEO Suzanne Cockburn. “Together, we will be showcasing our new integrated travel and expense management solution, gdbookonline, which we believe will be of real interest to visitors, demonstrating how they can reduce costs and save valuable time during their busy working days.”
Other new office* exhibitors looking to help attendees’ make the most of their ever-shrinking budgets include Top Banana Venues, Magic Whiteboard/Magic Sticky Notes, Greenworks Solutions – one of the largest suppliers of mains-fed water coolers and washroom supplies in Europe, Destination Bristol – the eleventh AIM-accredited venue to confirm their presence in the show’s new MIA Destination and Venue Village, and Pentel (Stationery) Ltd.
“There really is no substitute for product demonstrations in person,” says Wendy Vickery, Pentel’s UK marketing manager. “Pentel believe that exhibiting at office* will generate excellent opportunities to discuss the unique features and benefits of our key products face-to-face with a highly influential target audience.”
New additions to the office* conference line-up, which includes 32 seminars and master classes, is an extra session hosted by Susie Barron-Stubley, founder of Castalia Coaching & Training in office* Theatre 2. ‘Developing your emotional intelligence for success in a business environment’, taking place at 3pm on both days of the show, will discuss how the growth of Emotional Intelligence, through self-awareness, emotion management, self motivation, relationship management, and emotion coaching, is essential for individuals who want to increase their effectiveness and success in business.
“It’s a real privilege to be invited back to office* once again to run seminar programmes throughout the event. The level of the Executive PAs in attendance of this show is second to none and I am delighted to be working with and supporting these top level assistants in their continuing development and career progression,” says Susie Barron-Stubley.
Ensuring it’s far from all work and no play at this year’s office*, exhibitor MWB Business Exchange will be adding their own brand of ‘office’ humour to the proceedings, with a David Brent–inspired dance routine at 10.00am in the show’s Uni Mitsubishi Café. David Brent, a fictional character in the BBC’s award-winning sitcom The Office, will be played by a Ricky Gervais impersonator and appear alongside 15 dancers. Following the performance office* attendees will be give the opportunity to participate in a competition to win £500 worth of Apple vouchers by giving their own ‘interpretation’ of Brent’s excruciating, yet highly-memorable, dance.
