camexpo previews its exhibitor show highlights for 2016

Showcasing VMS & Nutrition, Natural Health & Beauty, Clinical Supplies & Services, and Training

Featuring 200 exhibiting companies for 2016, camexpo attendees (5,000 are expected) will be among the first to see a wealth of new products and services launching on to the complementary and integrative health market. 

camexpo is the UK’s largest professional natural health and wellbeing event, taking place on 24-25 September at London’s Olympia.

“camexpo draws its inspiration from the industry it serves.  Everything that practitioners need to run their businesses successfully – from their products, clinical supplies to training – is here,” explains Zoe Campbell the show’s event director.

“Year after year, it showcases the best choice of the latest innovations, research and training under one roof, which is why so many buyers recommend it and so many call it their favourite health show of the year,” she says.

The following is just a taste of what’s new at camexpo 2016:

Kinetic Natural Products Distributor is launching Barlean’s, America’s best-selling brand of flax oil.  Products in the range include: Organic Lignan Flax Oil, a blend of organic flaxseed oil and organic flaxseed particulate; Essential Woman Oil,  a blend of organic flaxseed oil, soy isoflavones, primrose oil, flaxseed particulate, sunflower oil, rosemary extract and ascorbic acid; and Fish Omega Swirls, and Flax Omega Swirl Strawberry & Banana Flavour (stand 1210).

Yogi Tea is launching its Immune Support and Green Tea Matcha Lemon at the show.  Its Immune Support is a caffeine-free blend of organic herbs and spices, with a taste of echinacea, tulsi, elderberry, and acerola cherry, created to naturally support the immune system.  Green Tea Matcha Lemon is a new addition to the Green Tea range and contains matcha tea powder, lemon grass and lime (stand 1728).

Jennifer Young & Beauty Despite Cancer is introducing the new EELF Facial – Oncology Essential Energy Lifting Facial (with live demos) at the show. It is an anti-ageing facial using energetic techniques, as well as specialist products filled with potent rejuvenating essential oils, created for cancer patients (stand 1400).

Bestcare is launching its Organic Super Mix at the show.  Balanced in four equal parts, with organic New Zealand barley grass, organic New Zealand wheat grass, organic chlorella, and organic spirulina, this is a simple well-rounded daily immune protector and defense aid product (stand 1214).

Nutri-Globe is introducing its Nutri-Green food supplements, designed to aid mental and physical health.  The key ingredient is moringa, otherwise known as the miracle tree.  The range contains teas, powders, capsules and energy-bars, which are packed with over 90 nutrients, and amino acids, including isoleucine, leucine, lysine and threonine (stand 1604A).

Chris James Mind Body is launching its new organic Gorgeous Greens supplement sachets, with added enzymes, and Brilliant Biotic, a new 16-strain 30 billion CFU; formulated in partnership with the world’s foremost producer of quality probiotics.  Practitioners will benefit from a 25% discount across the product range at the show (stand 2018).

Biodane Pharma A/S is introducing SylliFlor Colostrum, a dietary fibre used to regulate digestion.  It’s made of fibre-rich husks (psyllium husks) and a small dosage of colostrum (raw milk from Danish cows).  The husks of SylliFlor are coated to obtain a crispy texture, making the product easy to use as a topping on breakfast cereals, or mixed in smoothies (stand 1819).

Wiley’s Finest UK is launching its Beginners DHA, a specially formulated omega-3 fish oil supplement for children. Flavoured naturally with watermelon and strawberry, it delivers 650mg EPA and DHA omega-3s in each half-teaspoon serving.  Also showcasing: new Elementary EPA, a specially formulated omega-3 fish oil supplement for school aged children (recommended for children aged 4+), it is flavoured naturally with peach and mango (stand 1510).

Hifas da Terra is introducing the Mico-Onco Care range.  The five new formulations are: Mico-Mama, Mico-Prostat, Mico-Digest, Mico-Pneumo and Mico-Onco.  Each product combines different species of mushrooms that have complementary and synergistic effects targeting specific health conditions (stand 1618).

Natural by Nature Oils is introducing two new ranges to the show.  Its new Pure Body Oils come in eight blends including: Detox, Muscle & Joint, Exotic, Indulgence, Tranquil, Calming, De-Stress, and Hair & Scalp.  Its collection of Pure Vapourising Oils come in nine blends including: Uplifting, Tranquility, Meditation, Breath, and Citrus Fresh.  They can be used in a traditional oil burner or in an Aroma diffuser (stand 1228).

The Green People Company has added two new certified organic beauty products into its Sensitive Scent Free range: including the Neutral Hydrating Caloming Serum and Neutral Light Day Moisturiser.  The collection is tailor-made for sensitive skin, and those prone to eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and skin allergies (stand 1516).

Living Nutrition is showcasing Your Flora living culture symbiotics, a range of organic whole-food symbiotics based on a kefir-kombucha style fermentation, using a selection of 35 microorganisms.  This fermented living culture provides a symbiosis of healthy microorganisms, colonising factors and digestive nutrients held within a natural ecosystem (stand IZH).

SynergyThe LP Partnership is showcasing its latest natural supplement ProArgi-9+, it is formulated with renowned cardiovascular specialists, following Nobel Prize-winning research, and described in US Physician’s Desk Reference as ‘the highest quality L-Arginine supplement in the world.’  Also showcasing: Mistify and Phytolife, which make up the ‘The Vital 3 System.’  Combined they are designed to enhance the body’s overall performance and wellness (stand 1722a).

The Really Healthy Company is promoting its new Micromax gut conditioning formula, which is biodynamically fermented using up to 40 different Alpine herbs.  Also showcasing: wild Klamath Blue Green Algae, KBG Super-3, Medpro ProstaSol, Imupros, Prostalin-C and Indole-3-Carbinol; plus the professional Premier Research Labs range (stand 1620).

Livewheatgrass recently launched a range of six tailor-made juice programs.  The certified organic, instantly frozen, cold pressed juices and nut milks are in their purest and most nutritionally dense form, and contain live wheatgrass juice, barleygrass juice and other superfoods (stand 1818).

Fhlife World is promoting Colonwell Inner Peace – a dietary fibre product made only from natural ingredients.  These type of carbohydrates are broken by the gut flora rather than digestive enzymes, designed to maintain normal intestinal function and causes a feeling of satiety (stand 1725).

Sapromax is exhibiting LycoLife, a lycopene-rich juice, which combines the goodness of tomatoes with the fresh taste of a fruit juice.  Each bottle contains 30mg of lycopene, a strong antioxidant designed to help slow down the cellular processes of aging and deter changes in cells, thanks to free radical fighting properties (stand IZC).

Elixinol, one of the largest suppliers of Cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil, is showcasing its non-psychoactive range.   Dr Phillip Blair, senior medical director at Elixinol, says that “Cannabidiol has been helpful in clinical situations including chronic pain as well as inflammatory and degenerative conditions”.  Elixinol is created using whole plant extracts and dissolves in water (stand 1508).

The G&G Vitamin Centre is rebranding and relaunching its G&G vitamin and mineral supplement range.  The newly launched products are now in a green tub with black lid and green label, and will now carry a one-of-a-kind multilayer hologram, registered with the IHMA, guaranteeing G&G quality (stand 1422).

Pulsin' is promoting its new Peanut Choc Chip Raw Choc Brownie, a double chocolate brownie packed full of raw cacao, dairy free chocolate chips and peanuts.  Gluten free, dairy free and soya free, it’s non GM and contains no refined sugars (stand 1527).

Nucleotide Nutrition is showcasing its new nnnSPORTX-Cell for sport recovery and performance.  With published endurance, high intensity and resistance stress research, this Nutri-tide Nucleotide Nutritional formula, with selected vitamins and amino acids, is water-soluble, complements existing training regimens, and is registered with Informed-Sport (stand 1126).

Pukka Herbs is exhibiting its Turmeric Lifekind, the superpower among their full-spectrum Wholistic Turmeric range.  Packed with antioxidants, it aims to provide whole body cellular protection to reduce inflammation, and prevent degenerative diseases (stand 1412).

Nature's Plus is introducing several new additions to their portfolio, introducing: Kalm Magnesium (400mg from magnesium citrate), Animal Parade MagKidz, Pure Organic Proteins, and Organic Ultra Juice Green (stand 1310).

Trevo is promoting its nutrition supplement drink.  This liquid formula made with 174 natural ingredients from around the globe, includes phytonutrients from familiar garden fruits, as well as exotic fruits, green superfoods, garden vegetables, sea vegetables, herbs and coral calcium complex (stand IZK).

Living Ayurveda Products is promoting its new Ananda superfoods for Vata and Pitta mind-body types.  Vata includes cinnamon, while Pitta has fennel.  Both are made with over nine other Ayurvedic spices, to balance mind-body type (stand 2015).

Good Health Naturally is showcasing Active Life Multivitamin, a new synergistic blend of 130 important and carefully selected ingredients.  This ‘super multivitamin’ combines all of the essential vitamins, trace minerals and elements, electrolytes and amino acids into one capsule.  Practitioner discounts are available (stand 2014)

Lepicol is launching Lepicol ‘on the go’ sachet packs.  Using the formula found in the Lepicol 180g and 350g packs, it now comes in an easy to carry compact box containing 14 x 5g sachets.  Lepicol is a multi-fibre source product containing gentle psyllium husk, inulin and five strains of live bacteria (stand 1406).

Wild Nutrition is showcasing two bespoke food-grown formulations for teen girls and boys (60 capsules).  The nutritional supplements are designed to reflect the growing nutritional need of this age group.  The bespoke teen-girl contains: vitamin B6, zinc, organic ashwagandha, and organic artichoke leaf.  The bespoke teen-boy contains: zinc, magnesium, organic reishi mushroom, and organic artichoke leaf (stand 1510).

Essence of Arcadia is introducing its essential oil sets, aromatherapy diffusers and new aromatherapy jewellery range.  The jewellery is a new range of aromatherapy diffuser lockets in stainless steel, with gems in a selection of shapes and styles.  The six or 14 box of blended essential oils use scents such as lavender, geranium, lemon and grapefruit (rejuvenate blend).  Other blends in the set include Sleep Well, Anxiety, Breathe, Detox, Harmonise and Love (stand 1529).

Zephorium Soul Tonic is promoting its Aromatherapy Affirmation Candles.  Each one is individually aligned to the Chakras, and made with pure coconut wax and 100% natural aromatherapy oils.  Infused with crystal energy, the candles are free from paraffin, soy, chemicals and toxic aromas (stand 1518).

The Hypnotherapy Training Company is showcasing Sam the Sleepy Sheep, a new children’s bedtime book.  Written by two of the UK's top hypnotherapy trainers, Dr. Kate and Rory Z, Sam the Sleepy Sheep is a natural, fun way to get children (and adults) to go to sleep.  It works using 'hypnotic language patterns' (stand IZL).

Bio Pathica’s Traumeel is an ointment used within the homeopathic tradition for the relief of symptoms such as pain and swelling from sprains, muscular strains and bruising.  Traumeel is manufactured to GMP standards by Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbH, and is produced in 50g or 100g tubes.  Also showcasing: Neurexan Tablets, and Zeel Comp N Tablets and Ointment (stand 1812).

Weleda UK is showcasing its new Arnica Sports Shower Gel.  Made with organic arnica extract, it is naturally fragranced with lavender oil to calm the mind, and rosemary oil to invigorate the body after exercise.  Also showcasing: Arnica Massage Oil to ease weary limbs (stand 1205).

Artesian Springs is showcasing Collagen + Fit – a 500ml spring alkaline mineral water with collagen.  Sweetened with natural stevia leaf, it contains added 5g and 500 mg L-carnitine, designed to help burn fat for active people.  It also contains vitamin C, to help promote the absorption of collagen into the body (stand IZP).

The Alphamusic of John Levine, the natural musical remedy creators is launching a new music streaming service.  The service will allow users to subscribe to a database featuring all of the Alphamusic albums – including the bestseller, Silence of Peace – for the low monthly fee of £3.99.  It means that therapists can have 24hr roaming access to proven complementary Alphamusic in seconds (stand 1821).

Nutritionist Resource is promoting its nutrition awareness campaigns. They’ve developed their marketing and communications platform to create a new, more personalised user experience.  ‘Loveable Lunchboxes’ (launched in August) worked with members to create useful resources and content for parents and schools to promote and highlight the benefits of healthy eating (stand 1504).

Academy of Nutritional Medicine is showcasing Arminlabs Viral and Bacterial Panels (Lyme and coinfections testing).  Working together with Arminlabs – a specialist lab for Lyme and tick-borne diseases – three reduced price test panels have been introduced, including: a standard virus panel, an extended virus panel, and a comprehensive bacteria panel.  One virus panel is available to win through the prize trail at the show (stand 1017).            

Cambridge Nutritional Sciences is showcasing its improved Candida Screen.  This test measures not only IgG and IgM antibodies to the Candida albicans yeast, but also IgA antibodies.  Screening for all three antibody classes provides a highly effective diagnostic and treatment monitoring tool to detect an overgrowth of Candida (stand 1410).

Quantum World is showcasing its new Bio-Corrector cards.  These devices are worn upon the person to protect against Electromagnetic radiation.  Bio-Correctors carry a high-frequency vibration, and are designed to restore the human energy-field and to protect it from harmful electromagnetic radiation and natural energy anomalies.  It tones the body, improves its defences and produces a powerful energy recharge (stand 1428).

Education, Training & Associations

Touch Tuina is promoting its new courses for 2017 including: a one certificate course in touch Tuina, three month reflexology, two weekend cupping and weekend workshops for sports injuries, and other CPD short courses to be announced.  Also giving away vouchers to claim 20% off treatments in their London and York clinic (stand 1403).

Therapy and Coaching Success is launching its Facebook for Therapists and Coaches.  John Prendergast’s Therapy and Coaching Success teaches proven methods (off/online) on how to connect with clients and build thriving businesses, focusing on helping sufferers, and enabling the helper to earn a good living (stand IZD).

Complementary Health Professionals is launching its Crystal Healing and Sports Massage Diplomas at the show.

Both are blended learning diplomas with the theory taught online, and are fully supported by an online learning area and a personal tutor.  Practical skills are taught at selected workshops (stand 1324).

VTCT is promoting five newly-regulated level four qualifications, these include a Diploma in Providing Therapies for Clients with Cancer or other Life Limiting Conditions; Diploma in Complementary Therapies; Diploma in Aromatherapy for the Complementary Therapist; Diploma in Reflexology for the Complementary Therapist; and a Diploma in Massage for the Complementary Therapist (stand 1220).

Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) has announced the addition of sports massage to their Accredited Register.  Independently approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, practitioners listed on the FHT’s Accredited Register are part of a government-backed scheme to protect the public, which helps potential clients, employers and health and care commissioners to choose a therapist with confidence.  The FHT is also giving away free goody bags at the show (stand 1818).

Jing Advanced Massage Training is offering 10% off their CPD massage courses at the show, including BTEC level 6 in Clinical and Sports Massage – currently the UK’s highest level of massage training.  Also showcasing: online courses and ‘Massage Fusion’ book (stand 1608).

Association of Reflexologists is offering taster sessions in both foot reflexology and the newer facial reflexology at the show.  Different methods of facial reflexology will be represented on both days of the show; Sorensistem on Saturday, Bergman on Sunday.  Top facial reflexologist Ziggie Bergman herself will be providing facial tasters on Sunday morning.  All tasters will be £10 for 20 minutes (stand 1018).

The Complementary Therapists Association (CThA), the leading professional association representing sports, spa and complementary therapists in the UK and Ireland, is offering £20 off new memberships or renewals, making a year's membership only £38.  Benefits include discounted insurance, Embodyforyou clinic listing, and special treatment licence exemption, where applicable (stand 1802).

SIRPA, founded by leading physiotherapist and chronic pain specialist Georgie Oldfield MCSP, is promoting a new training programme for health professionals: from a one day introductory course, to practitioner and then senior practitioner courses, as well as a train the trainer course.  Copies of her book, 'Chronic Pain: your key to recovery', and a taster workshop are available at the show (stand IZJ).

Myofascial Release UK (MFR UK) is promoting its new myofascial release workshop for movement, exercise and fitness professionals.  ‘Functional Fascial Approaches for Manual, Movement, Fitness and Exercise Professionals’ provides fascial approaches to enhance movement workshops, such as pilates and yoga, or a client’s rehabilitation and fitness training.  Available in London from November 2016 (stand 2017).

Wellbeing is moving up the healthcare agenda. Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) will be discussing the role complementary therapies could play in delivering services and how practitioners can get involved.  Visitors can sign up to their business clinic at 2pm on Saturday 24 September in advance(stand 1320).

Body Mind Workers is offering free phobia cures and 10% discount on courses including: Change Your Mind, Change Your Life, 2 day workshop; and Body Mind Worker Practitioner Course taking Practitioners from Level 1 to Master Practitioner.  Also promoting: co-authored article (published in August) in the peer-reviewed Journal of the pain management in affiliation with the Centre for Pain Research, School of Clinical and Applied Sciences Leeds Beckett University (stand 1503).

Expectancy is offering a special show promotion on their Working with Pregnant Clients course in London on 3 and 4 December.  The two day course is available to show attendees for a 50% discount – £99 instead of £199.  Accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists, the course is appropriate for anyone considering becoming a midwife, or for doulas who use complementary therapies (stand 2011).
