Arlington Independent School District Selects the eScholar Data Solution

White Plains, N.Y., July 16, 2014 - eScholar®, the leader in data solutions for personalized education, today announced that the Arlington Independent School District has selected eScholar as its data warehouse provider to provide integrated information from the district’s multiple existing information systems. The eScholar Complete Data Warehouse® solution will serve the 64,000 students enrolled in the Arlington ISD, the 11th largest district in Texas and the 60th largest in the U.S.
A key part of the mission of the Arlington ISD’s ambitious strategic plan, Achieve Today. Excel Tomorrow., is to enable all of their students to reach their maximum potential. This requires a proven, comprehensive data warehouse to store and report the data necessary to understand and achieve student objectives, which includes having 100 percent of students graduate on time. Previously with information isolated in different systems, doing a comprehensive analysis on student progress was a challenge.
Now, with the eScholar Complete Data Warehouse®, the district can integrate data from multiple sources into a single, unified system. As part of the eScholar solution, district administrators will be able to view informative dashboards of district report card items that align with their strategic plan, such as the percentage of students on track to graduate. The Arlington ISD will have a synthesized view of each school and can track improvement in performance metrics such as the STAAR assessment. The district can also customize status indicators and annotations to highlight actionable information. The eScholar solution also meets the district’s rigorous security requirements designed to protect student privacy and data integrity.
The Arlington ISD plans to go live with the dashboards beginning this fall in a phased approach that will include teachers, students and parents. Planning between the eScholar and Arlington ISD teams is already well underway, addressing implementation, change management and data governance.
