• Flavor Combines Key Limes, Orange and Tamarind for a Party-Ready Cocktail •

March 18, 2013 – Charleston, SC F&J Beverage Company LLC founders John Glenn and Joe Good are proud to announce the addition of their Fat & Juicy Margarita Mix. Building on the wildly successful 2011 launch of Fat & Juicy Bloody Mary Mix, the party-ready margarita mixer holds true to the company’s motto of “extra-high grade, fully-loaded flavor” with the perfect balance of tart and sweet. From “fat & juicy” key limes to the signature hint of orange and tamarind, the newest addition to the mixer aisle offers a refreshing alternative to those currently on the market – perfectly suited for serving straight-up or spirited.  Fat & Juicy Beverage Company debuted the margarita mix at the 2013 Charleston Wine + Food Festival and has seen rapid expansion into its retailers nationwide.

"We got tired of the electric-green colored syrup option. It screams 'your hangover will be terrible tomorrow,’” laughs Good. “Margaritas need to look natural and taste fresh.” Glenn explains, “the simplicity of our ingredients paired with the unexpected addition of tamarind is what sets the Fat & Juicy margarita apart from everything else on the shelves."

Glenn and Good are not only partners in F&J Beverage Company but also band mates in Fatter Then Albert, concocting the Fat & Juicy Bloody Mary recipe in the back of a tour van the morning after a late night gig with their band. The bloody mary mix became an instant success, garnering distribution throughout the country and abroad. Currently, the brand is available at over 6,000 retailers and restaurants across 47 states and in 5 foreign countries.  “After two years of excessive bloody mary drinking, we were ready to improve upon another cocktail staple, the much-loved margarita. It’s sun-soaked awesome in every sip,” says Glenn.

Inspired by early 20th century food and beverage packaging, Fat & Juicy's brand is vintage with a modern twist. From its aged-paper background to cigar box-inspired flourishes, it’s easily worthy of gifting or everyday consumption.  Fat & Juicy Margarita Mix’s suggested retail price is $2.69 for 8 oz and $5.99 for 32 oz bottles.
