FORTUM CORPORATION PRESS RELEASE 20 October 2015

Fortum and Renault continue their co-operation within electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the Nordic countries. During October and November, the Fortum Charge & Drive network will be expanded with seven new charging units in northern Lapland in Finland.

The new charging units consist of 22 kW semi-fast chargers, which are placed in relevant locations considering tourism flow between the two countries. Through the new charging units, Renault will provide its customers with an extensive charging network that enables a convenient drive with EV’s from Norway to Finland.

“We are happy to expand our charging network together with Fortum Charge & Drive to also cover northern Finland. We expect that many of our customers want to drive with EV’s from Norway to Finland, and through this expansion in the charging network, we can offer a convenient and safe journey,” says Anders Gadsbøll, Managing Director, Renault Norway.

Fortum and Renault began their co-operation in the end of 2014. Today the co-operation encompasses a total of 160 charging units, most of them located in Norway.

“I am glad that we can expand our co-operation with Renault to also cover northern Finland. We want to be an enabler on the market and provide increased mobility to users of electric vehicles. We are dedicated to delivering the best possible customer experience,” says Jan Haugen Ihle, Country Manager for Fortum Charge & Drive in Norway.

The Fortum Charge & Drive network is operating in Norway, Sweden and Finland. The network in the Nordic countries consists of over 200 quick chargers and over 250 semi-fast and normal chargers. The locations can be found at map.chargedrive.com
