Future Energy Solutions gets set for European expansion

Future Energy Solutions (FES), the leading energy performance solutions provider, is celebrating a successful first year of operation in the UK and has announced its plans to expand into mainland Europe during the course of 2015.

With the American HQ based in Fort Lauderdale and the European HQ based in London, the organisation procures, funds, installs and maintains energy efficient light emitting diode (LED) lighting solutions for the commercial and industrial lighting market. Targeting customers that currently operate inefficient high intensity discharge (HID), high pressure sodium (HPS) and fluorescent lighting systems, FES devises solutions that offer superior lighting quality and significant cost savings with no initial capital outlay.

The UK operation has successfully undertaken energy efficient lighting projects for a variety of major companies including National Car Parks (NCP), Computacenter and Spire Healthcare, which totalled just over 80,000 efficient lights being installed in its first year.  FES plans to continue its impressive growth by targeting existing key vertical sectors such as car parking, distribution, manufacturing, and healthcare, while promoting the benefits of its energy performance contract (EPC) to new markets such as the public sector, social housing and retail.

EPCs can be created off balance sheet, with all equipment, installation and maintenance costs factored in by FES from the outset. By guaranteeing the savings, the company ensures projects deliver the agreed rate of return – reducing the risks for customers. As most businesses don't have the requisite skills, knowledge or experience to install and maintain an LED lighting system, FES uses its extensive knowledge in this area to tailor a lighting solution based on a customer’s specific environment and objectives. FES is also set-up to deliver extremely large-scale re-lamping solutions allowing major asset owners to consolidate savings and bring them forward.

The European expansion plan is part of the company’s global strategy, which has already seen the company open new offices throughout the USA and Australia, including forming new partnerships with leading installers, manufacturers and maintenance service providers.

‘We are just scratching the surface of what can be achieved with LED technology,’ commented Marcus Brodin, Commercial Director at FES. ‘It is our aim to install in excess of 250,000 LED luminaires in the UK alone during 2015 and, as well as working with a number of leading businesses, we have recently announced a joint venture with Mears Group, a company that provides planned maintenance services to local authorities and registered social landlords. Our move into mainland Europe will help other organisations benefit from our unique financing platform and enjoy the advantages of LED lighting without any upfront capital expenditure.’
