In line with the new partnership of Lanier Soccer Association (LSA) and Dawson County United Soccer Club (DCU), forming LSA West, LSA is expanding it's soccer operations into Forsyth County. LSA West has reached an agreement with Forsyth County YMCA to transition it's current academy soccer program over to the LSA West program.

The agreement between LSA and the Forsyth County YMCA outlines the immediate transitioning of the Forsyth YMCA's academy soccer program to operate under LSA's leadership. The agreement illustrates the Forsyth YMCA's commitment to continue serving the children and families in Academy Soccer, as these families will now have access to all of the benefits that LSA's infrastructure and professional staff will bring to the program. The Forsyth YMCA will still maintain full control and management of it's vast recreational soccer program.

LSA and LSA West were founded on the ideal of developing local players and coaches within their own communities, with an emphasis on creating teams that train and play at an elite level, but with a focus on creating a family based, positive experience. Core to the LSA brand is the fact that you cannot understate the value of having local coaches and leaders in place to work with families from their own communities. These local ties help to create an ownership, an accountability, and a deep desire to achieve results that goes far beyond the simple trainer/player experience. This focus on the fostering of community and a family oriented environment is a bond that both the YMCA and LSA share.

LSA will be keeping in place all of the returning YMCA academy coaches, and will offer them additional advanced education and support. Local professional, Toni Lior has been named as the Director of Training for the Forsyth County Program. Toni, a product of the Barcelona soccer and futsal sytems, will be in charge of working with the youth players and coaches in executing the LSA program, which is very much inline with core programs taught in his native Catelona. With the support of LSA Director of Coaching Franklin McIntosh, and LSA West's Academy Director Anton Sieber, LSA will offer a very high level of support and training and provide an important service to those looking for an alternate high level soccer experience on Forsyth County.

Tryouts for LSA West's Forsyth County Academy and U13 Select Program will held on June 3rd and 4th, at Joint Venture Park in Cumming ( ENTER STREET ADDRESS HERE). Tryouts are 5:30-7pm (U8-U10), and 7-8:30pm for U11-U12 players. For more information, you can email us at info@lsawest.org, or call us 706-851-4493.
