Every Form Counts in the UK Census 2011!
GATESHEAD Carers Association has organised an event to help carers complete their Census forms.
The drop-in event takes place on Friday 25 March 2011 at Gateshead Carers Association’s town centre premises between 11am and 3pm.
Staff will be on hand to help carers complete the questionnaire and guide them to information, which will help them understand the questions in the Census.
Each Census form takes between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.
The event is designed to relieve the stress of completing Census forms.
Light refreshments will be available. The event takes place at Gateshead Carers Association, 11 Regent Terrace, Gateshead. NE8 1LU.
The 2011 Census takes place on Sunday 27 March across England and Wales.
Every household must complete and return a Census questionnaire.
Information, which residents give as part of the Census, helps to build up a picture of communities – and their needs – throughout England and Wales.
The information helps local and national Government to plan and prioritise resources on a wide range of issues including housing, education, health and transport in each community.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is responsible for running the Census in England and Wales every 10 years.
It also produces the statistics, which are vital to shaping each community’s future.
