Tout Leverages GreenButton’s On-Demand Video and Audio Solution 

Monitoring Customer Feedback and Reputations

GreenButton™ leading provider of specialized PaaS solutions that enable HPC and compute intensive workloads in the cloud, today announced its partnership with Tout, a mobile video publishing platform that enables leading news, sports and entertainment companies to engage their audiences real-time. By leveraging GreenButton’s on demand inCus platform, Tout is delivering new levels of rich meta-data while enabling consumers to quickly and easily capture video updates on their smart phones or tablets. Tout then provides real-time feeds to leading brands in the news, sports and entertainment sectors.

GreenButton supports Tout with next generation video content analysis to better understand the context and subject matter within each video. “Tout powers mobile video updates for leading brands in the news, sports and entertainment sectors,” said Michael Downing, Chief Executive Officer, Tout. “Being able to deliver timely data and insights to our partners is our primary goal. With GreenButton inCus we can now go several levels deeper into that data and provide better analysis into topics and subjects that are trending at any given moment.”

The data provided by GreenButton inCus is overlaid against existing customer data (such as location, interests, and demographics) to produce reports for Tout’s channel partners. This data is used to create a “who/what/where” view of Tout’s customers’ audiences. Subsequently, the information feeds an analytics engine within GreenButton inCus that renders information that is invaluable to Tout’s channel partners.

In addition to confidence scores, GreenButton inCus tracks frequency of keywords for a given piece of public content. Tout then has the ability to gauge the “social” impact of the keywords and provide a qualitative score based on these mentions and references. GreenButton inCus runs on Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud platform and includes MAVIS (Microsoft Research Audio Video Indexing System) - a sophisticated algorithm developed by Microsoft Research.
