The future of British women’s golf is in safe hands as 14 year old Sammy Fuller continues her journey to the top of the women’s game. Fuller is now the most successful English golfer of all time for her age group and is on course to keep breaking records as she continues to take the women’s game by storm.

Like many of today’s golfing greats, Fuller started playing golf at just 2 years old winning her first tournament by the age of five. The last ten years have seen her win trophy after trophy as she has developed into one of the top British women’s golfers, currently ranked 3rd in England for the U18 ladies and 7th in the overall standings. Fuller’s game is being rapidly developed at Dukes Meadows in Chiswick with Van Phillips, a former winner on the European Tour.

Van Phillips, Head Coach at Dukes Meadows:

“Sammy’s progression has been nothing short of phenomenal. She is only 14 and already in the top ten ladies in England. Her achievements speak for themselves and we hope that in the next couple of years she can really push on and become well established on the Ladies European Tour”.

Sammy has collected accolades across the world, beating substantially older girls in the process. Her top triumphs include being a 6-time winner of the Florida International Championship, a record for the tournament. Recently she was the youngest player selected in the Great Britain under 16 squad for the Vagliano Trophy and the youngest player to represent England at under 18 level in the home internationals.

Ashley Fuller, Sammy Fuller’s Father:

"From the age of two she showed exceptional co-ordination. We knew then from a very early age of two or three that she would excel in most sports she takes up. It is great that she has carried on with golf and is now turning her initial promise into a career and the support of Dukes Meadows has been pivotal to her development in the sport”.

In 2013 Sammy had 3 top 10 finishes in Major Ladies Amateur Championships including the Irish, Welsh and English Championships. She managed to win her first ever English Ladies ranking tournament and due to her success has been selected for the Under 18 England National Girls Squad.

Sammy Fuller:

“I love golf and thanks to the support I have received from my parents and Dukes Meadows I have been lucky enough to keep playing. At the moment I am focused on improving my ranking and finishing as high as I can in every tournament that I play in so in the future I can establish myself on the Ladies European Tour”.
