HiQ has helped Volvo Cars to develop the technology for the acknowledged service ”Roam Delivery”, which allows consumers to have goods delivered straight to the trunk of their car.

Many have experienced how difficult it can be to receive a delivery of ordered goods. Often, you might not be at home when the courier arrives with the delivery. Having the delivery brought straight to the car is now possible thanks to a technological collaboration between HiQ and Volvo Cars.

”A Volvo driver can choose their car as a delivery address. The delivery company gets access to the car’s location and to a digital key, and can thereby leave the goods in the trunk of the car. As simple as that,” says Jerker Lindstén, Managing Director of HiQ in Gothenburg.

“Roam Delivery” is an innovative collaboration between HiQ and the vehicle manufacturer. In our connected society, mobile solutions simplify people’s lives and Volvo is at the forefront of this rapid development.

Pilot tests have been done and as many as 86 per cent state that they experience the service as timesaving. 92 per cent state that they prefer having goods delivered to their car instead of their home.

”This is an excellent example of when digital innovation simplifies. The service is both timesaving and hassle-free. Once again we show that HiQ is at the forefront of developing the connected society,” Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ, concludes.
